Key Features:
-
14% Water-Soluble Copper (Cu): Delivers a highly concentrated source of bioavailable copper.
-
EDTA Chelated: Enhances nutrient stability and ensures effective uptake through both foliar and soil applications.
-
Fast Correction: Quickly addresses copper deficiencies, which can cause stunted growth, leaf chlorosis, and reduced flowering or fruiting.
-
Broad Use: Ideal for fruits, vegetables, row crops, ornamentals, and turfgrass.
-
Fertigation & Spray-Compatible: Easily integrates into standard irrigation and spraying systems.
Benefits:
- Supports enzyme activity and chlorophyll synthesis
- Promotes strong root and shoot development
- Improves plant resilience against disease and environmental stress
- Enhances overall crop vigor and productivity
- For best results apply every 14-21 days during the growing season.
Boca Hydro Chelated Copper Dosing PDF
Due to the small amounts required by plants you must make a concentrate.
Add 1.35-2.7 Grams of Boca Hydro Chelated Copper to 1 Gallon of distilled water.
Mix thoroughly.
1.35g will produce a concentrate of 50ppm Cu
2.7g will produce a concentrate of 100 ppm Cu
Foliar
Add 1–2 fl oz of concentrate per gallon of spray water
-
50 ppm Cu Concentrate → Add 1–2 fl oz per gallon of spray water
-
100 ppm Cu Concentrate → Add 0.5–1 fl oz per gallon
Final solution will contain 0.04 - 0.08 ppm
Pots and Containers
50ppm Cu 0.2-0.5 Fl Oz 1-3 tsp
100ppm Cu 0.1-0.25 Fl Oz 1/2-1.5 tsp
Drench
Dosing Target 0.3–0.5 ppm Cu
Concentrate Strength
50ppm Cu 3-5 fl/oz in 10 Gallons of water 0.15–0.25 ppm
100 ppm Cu 2-4 fl/oz in 10 Gallons of water 0.16–0.32 ppm
Hydroponics
0.05–0.1 ppm (mg/Gal) of copper is typically sufficient.
To achieve 0.05 ppm Cu in 1 gallon
Use 0.013 grams of Chelated Copper 14% EDTA per gallon
(0.013 g × 14% = ~0.0018 g = 0.05 ppm in 1 Gallon
Stay below 0.1 ppm
0.1 gram per 5 gallons of reservoir water
Delivers approx. 0.07 ppm Cu
From concentrate ( Per gallon )
50 ppm concentrate → Add 0.1–0.2 fl oz ≈ 3–6 mL
100 ppm concentrate → Add 0.05–0.1 fl oz ≈ 1.5–3 mL
Fertigation
Final solution should = 0.05–0.5 ppm, occasionally up to 1 ppm for severe deficiencies.
1 ppm = 1 mg/L Stock needs to be 5–10 ppm Cu
Stock Solution Preparation for Fertigation Injectors
To prepare a stock solution for 1:100 injectors.
To make 1 gallon of 100× stock solution, use:
Dissolve 135–270 mg (0.135–0.27 g) of Boca Hydro Chelated Copper 14% EDTA in 1 Gallon of Distilled water.
To make 10 gallons of 100x stock solution, use:
Dissolve 1.35 to 2.7 grams of Boca Hydro Chelated Copper 14% EDTA in 10 Gallons of distilled water.
Frequency: Every 10–21 days during active growth or as deficiencies are identified.
⚠️ Important Notes:
DO NOT exceed label or crop-specific Cu recommendations (over-application can be phytotoxic)
Check compatibility before mixing with other fertilizers or pesticides
Maintain final solution pH between 5.5–6.5 for best uptake
Shake well before each use, as minor settling may occur over time
