Symptoms

Iron defeciency commonly called lime induced chlorosis, is yellow color that occurs in newly emerged leaves instead of older leaves.

Iron is one of the most important micro nutrients for plants, trees and lawns. While iron is usually plentiful in soil, it is not available in a form for plants to absorb it and with frequent rains many plants will become defecient.

Using high nitrogen fertilizers lowers ph, making iron in the soil even less available which is why iron supplements must be chelated.

Hydroponics

Soilless, Coco or Rockwool Blocks and Slabs Use 1/4 teaspoon per gallon of water for young plants and seedlings, 1/2 teaspoon for adult plants, 1 teaspoon for large plants.

Fertigation

Measure PPM Of irrigation water, Mix 1 Teaspoon per gallon evenly with water, measure ppm then adjust injection rate accordingly. Amount can be increased depending on plant size.

Drench 1 tablespoon per 5 gallons
Drench Large trees 2 tablespoons per 5 gallons
