Boca Hydro Magnesium Nitrate – 10% Mg + 11% N

Premium-Grade Magnesium & Nitrate Supplement for Plants

Boca Hydro Magnesium Nitrate is a high-purity, fully water-soluble fertilizer providing essential Magnesium (Mg) and Nitrate Nitrogen (NO3) – two key nutrients for photosynthesis, chlorophyll production, and overall plant vigor.

Our advanced formula contains 10% magnesium and 11% nitrate nitrogen, ideal for correcting magnesium deficiency and promoting lush green growth in all crops, especially under hydroponic or fertigation systems.

10% Magnesium 11% Nitrate Nitrogen Sulfur-Free Chloride-Free Fully Water Soluble

Sulfur-free and chloride-free. Safe for all crops, from leafy greens to citrus and flowering plants.

Product Benefits
Highly Available Nutrition Supplies both magnesium and nitrate nitrogen in highly available forms.
Chlorophyll Support Supports chlorophyll formation and photosynthetic activity.
Plant Development Improves nutrient uptake and flower development.
Fertilizer Compatibility Excellent compatibility with calcium nitrate and potassium nitrate.
Multiple Applications 100% soluble – ideal for hydroponics, fertigation, soil drench, and foliar feeding.
Concentrate Compatibility: Unlike Magnesium Sulfate, Magnesium Nitrate can be combined in concentrate — dry or liquid — and applied with Calcium Nitrate without clumping or nutrient lockout.

Boca Hydro Magnesium Nitrate Dosing Guide

Water-Soluble Product: Always dissolve in water before applying. Do not apply the dry product directly to plants.

All concentrate measurements below are based on a stock solution containing 500 grams (1.1 lb) per final gallon.

Stock Solution Concentrate

Stock Solution Preparation Instructions
500 g per final gallon Dissolve 500 grams (1.1 lb) of Boca Hydro Magnesium Nitrate in water, then add enough water to make 1 final gallon of stock solution.
Dry Product Equivalent Stock Concentrate
0.5 gram About 3/4 teaspoon
1 gram About 1.5 teaspoons
2 grams About 1 tablespoon
3 grams About 1.5 tablespoons
4 grams About 2 tablespoons
5 grams About 2.5 tablespoons

Dry-product reference: approximately 1 teaspoon dry Magnesium Nitrate = 4 grams, and 1 tablespoon dry Magnesium Nitrate = 13 grams. A digital scale is recommended for accurate dry dosing.

Hydroponics

Target Magnesium Dry Product per Gallon 500 g/gal Concentrate per Gallon Approximate Nitrogen Supplied
25 ppm Mg 1 gram 1.5 teaspoons 29 ppm N
50 ppm Mg 1.9 grams 1 tablespoon 55 ppm N
75 ppm Mg 2.85 grams 1.5 tablespoons 83 ppm N
Hydroponic reference: One gram per gallon supplies approximately 26 ppm magnesium and 29 ppm nitrate nitrogen. Account for the nitrogen supplied when combining with Calcium Nitrate, Potassium Nitrate, or other nitrogen fertilizers.

Foliar Application

Application Dry Product per Gallon 500 g/gal Concentrate per Gallon
Maintenance 1–2 grams 1.5–3 teaspoons
Deficiency Repair 3–4 grams 1.5–2 tablespoons

Spray during the early morning or evening. Avoid applying during intense heat or direct midday sunlight. Test on a small area before treating sensitive plants.

Pots and Containers

Plant or Container Size Dry Product per Gallon 500 g/gal Concentrate per Gallon
Small Plants 0.5–1 gram 3/4–1.5 teaspoons
Medium Plants 2–3 grams 1–1.5 tablespoons
Very Large Plants 4–5 grams 2–2.5 tablespoons

Apply the finished solution evenly throughout the root zone. Use the lower rate for young plants, frequent feeding, or plants with lower fertilizer requirements.

Five-Gallon Root Drench

Feeding Level Dry Product per 5 Gallons 500 g/gal Concentrate per 5 Gallons
Light Feeding 5–10 grams 2.5–5 tablespoons
Heavy Feeding 15–20 grams 1/2–2/3 cup

Dissolve into a final volume of five gallons and apply evenly around the active root zone.

Established Trees — 50 Gallons

Application Dry Product per 50 Gallons 500 g/gal Concentrate
Standard Tree Feeding 200 grams 51 fl oz, approximately 1.6 quarts
Strong Tree Feeding 250 grams 64 fl oz, or 2 quarts

Fertigation — 1:100 Injector

Target Magnesium in Final Irrigation Water Dry Product per Final Gallon of Injector Stock 500 g/gal Concentrate Equivalent
25 ppm Mg 100 grams Approximately 757 mL or 25.6 fl oz
50 ppm Mg 190 grams Approximately 1.44 L or 48.6 fl oz
75 ppm Mg 285 grams Approximately 2.16 L or 73 fl oz
100 ppm Mg 380 grams Approximately 2.88 L or 97.3 fl oz
Injector directions: Add the listed amount to the stock tank, then add enough water to make one final gallon of injector stock solution. Inject at a 1:100 ratio.

Compatibility

Magnesium Nitrate may be combined with Calcium Nitrate and Potassium Nitrate in properly prepared dry blends or concentrated stock solutions. Unlike Magnesium Sulfate, it does not introduce sulfate that can react with concentrated calcium and form insoluble calcium sulfate. Always perform a small compatibility test when combining with phosphates, sulfates, pesticides, complete fertilizer blends, or unfamiliar water sources.
