There are hundreds of species of tropical guavas, and of all the fruit trees they are one of the most easy to grow. The trees can be kept small or allowed to grow large, offer amazing heat and drought durability and can produce fruit year round once branches mature. More often guava are characterized by the color of the fruit, with pink being one of the most popular. Fruit will typically get bigger and bigger until it reaches softball size, and will turn yellow on the plant, some people like them crispy like an apple, some wait till they are yellow and soft. The seeds are small and can be eaten. Ruby Supreme Guava is very high in Vitamin C, and its meat is white and crisp, sweet and juicy and can be eaten fresh or preserved.
