Boca Hydro Zinc Granular Fertilizer 25%
Six-Month Slow Release Zinc Fertilizer for Citrus, Fruit Trees, Ornamentals and Soil Applications
Boca Hydro Zinc Granular Fertilizer 25% is a concentrated, extended-release micronutrient fertilizer formulated to provide dependable zinc nutrition for citrus trees, fruit trees, ornamentals and other zinc-responsive plants.
Each granule contains a powerful 25% elemental zinc concentration and is designed to release gradually into the soil for up to six months. This controlled-release performance helps maintain zinc availability over an extended period while reducing the need for frequent applications.
Zinc is essential for chlorophyll formation, enzyme activity, plant hormone regulation, protein production, carbohydrate metabolism, healthy shoot development and efficient nutrient utilization. Although plants require zinc in relatively small amounts, inadequate zinc can significantly reduce tree vigor, leaf development, flowering, fruit set and crop quality.
The sulfur-free formula supplies targeted zinc nutrition without unnecessarily increasing sulfur levels in the soil. It is especially well suited for citrus trees and other perennial crops where long-lasting soil-applied zinc is preferred.
| 25% Elemental Zinc | Provides a highly concentrated source of zinc for correcting or preventing zinc deficiency in citrus, fruit trees and other zinc-responsive plants. |
|---|---|
| Extended Nutrient Release | Granules are designed to provide gradual zinc availability for up to six months, reducing the need for frequent reapplication. |
| Healthy New Growth | Supports normal shoot elongation, leaf development, growing points and proper spacing between leaves and branches. |
| Chlorophyll Formation | Supports healthy green foliage, photosynthesis and the plant processes required for vigorous growth. |
| Flower and Fruit Development | Helps support flowering, fruit set, fruit sizing and crop quality when zinc availability is limiting. |
| Enzyme and Hormone Activity | Zinc participates in important enzyme systems and natural plant-growth regulation. |
| Sulfur-Free Formula | Supplies concentrated zinc without adding sulfur, allowing greater flexibility within complete fertility programs. |
| Convenient Soil Application | Easy-to-use granules can be broadcast or band-applied around the active root zone and watered into the soil. |
| Interveinal Chlorosis | Young leaves may develop pale yellow or white areas between the veins while the veins remain greener. |
|---|---|
| Small or Narrow Leaves | New leaves may appear undersized, narrow, pointed or irregularly shaped. |
| Rosetted Growth | Shortened spaces between leaves can create a clustered, bunched or rosetted appearance at the ends of branches. |
| Weak Shoot Development | Deficient plants may produce short, weak shoots with reduced canopy growth and poor overall vigor. |
| Flower and Fruit Problems | Zinc deficiency may contribute to reduced flowering, poor fruit set, smaller fruit or irregular fruit development. |
| Branch Dieback | Severe or prolonged deficiency may cause twig dieback and thinning of the tree canopy. |
| Citrus Trees | Ideal for oranges, lemons, limes, grapefruit, mandarins, tangerines and other citrus varieties with elevated zinc requirements. |
|---|---|
| Fruit Trees | Suitable for avocado, mango, guava, peach, plum, apple, pear and other fruit-bearing trees when supplemental zinc is needed. |
| Nut Trees | May be used for pecans and other zinc-responsive nut trees as part of a complete nutrient-management program. |
| Ornamentals | Suitable for landscape trees, shrubs, palms and ornamental plants growing in zinc-deficient soils. |
| Alkaline Soils | Useful where elevated soil pH reduces natural zinc availability and plants require additional soil-applied zinc. |
| Maintenance Programs | Designed for long-term zinc maintenance or correction as part of a balanced soil fertility program. |
| Young Citrus Trees | Apply 1-2 tablespoons per tree approximately every six months. Use the lower rate for newly planted, small or lightly deficient trees. |
|---|---|
| Mature Citrus Trees | Apply 1/4-1/2 cup per tree approximately every six months. Adjust according to tree size, soil conditions, tissue testing and observed deficiency. |
| Other Fruit Trees | Begin with the rate appropriate for a similarly sized citrus tree and adjust according to crop requirements, soil testing and local recommendations. |
| Potted Citrus | Use sparingly according to container diameter, soil volume and plant size. Apply evenly to the soil surface and water thoroughly. Because zinc is highly concentrated, avoid using full in-ground tree rates in containers. |
| Application Area | Broadcast or band-apply evenly beneath the canopy and around the tree dripline where active feeder roots are located. |
| Application Method | Keep granules several inches away from the trunk. Lightly incorporate into the upper soil surface when practical, then water thoroughly after application. |
| Application Frequency | Do not apply more frequently than approximately every six months unless soil testing, tissue analysis or professional recommendations indicate a need. |
| Foliar and Hydroponic Use | Not intended for foliar spraying, hydroponic reservoirs, liquid concentrates or fertilizer injectors. This product is formulated for direct soil application. |
| Step 1 | Measure the appropriate amount according to the tree's age, size, growing conditions and level of zinc deficiency. |
|---|---|
| Step 2 | Distribute the granules evenly beneath the canopy or around the dripline rather than placing the entire amount in one location. |
| Step 3 | Keep concentrated granules away from the trunk, stems, exposed roots and the immediate crown of the plant. |
| Step 4 | Lightly incorporate the granules into the upper few inches of soil when practical. |
| Step 5 | Water the treated area thoroughly after application to begin activating the granules and moving zinc into the root zone. |
| Zinc (Zn) | 25.00% |
|---|---|
| Product Type | Extended-release granular zinc micronutrient fertilizer |
| Application Method | Direct soil application |
| Release Period | Designed to provide gradual nutrient availability for up to six months, depending on soil moisture, temperature and growing conditions. |
