Boca Hydro Chelated Zinc provides highly available, fully chelated zinc for plants, improving chlorophyll production, enzyme activity, and overall nutrient utilization. Zinc is critical for protein synthesis, hormone regulation (auxins), and growth in all plant types. EDTA chelation ensures stable delivery in a wide pH range, making it ideal for hydroponics, soil application, foliar sprays, and fertigation systems.

Zinc Deficiency in Crops

Zinc deficiency can lead to a range of serious plant health issues. In citrus, peach, and grape, it typically presents as small, pale leaves with interveinal chlorosis. In pecans, it causes "rosetting," while in corn, it results in "white bud." Zinc deficiency can also cause fruit and nuts to develop bitter flavors and, in severe cases, lead to branch dieback and death in citrus trees.

Applying pure zinc products not formulated for agriculture can be harmful to plants. These industrial-grade zinc compounds—often used in tanning, ceramics, or manufacturing—are typically too concentrated, poorly absorbed, and can cause severe leaf burn. Only a small fraction of the zinc in these products is plant-available.

Stock Solution (Concentrate) Add 200 grams of Boca Hydro Chelated Zinc EDTA 14% to 1 gallon of distilled water. Each tsp of concentrate delivers ≈36 mg elemental Zn

Foliar
Maintenance 0.25 – 0.5 grams per gallon (1-2 tsp concentrate)
Deficiency: 0.75 – 1 gram per gallon (2-4 tsp concentrate)
