Boca Hydro Ocean Feast
Enzymatically Hydrolyzed Marine Fish Protein with 12 Free Amino Acids & Fulvic Acid
Boca Hydro Ocean Feast is a premium liquid fish protein and amino acid fertilizer produced from sustainably sourced marine baitfish including sardines, menhaden and herring. It is formulated to support vigorous plant growth, productive root systems, healthy soils, flowering, fruit development and recovery from environmental stress.
At the heart of Ocean Feast is enzymatically hydrolyzed fermented fish protein. Instead of relying on aggressive processing, enzymatic hydrolysis breaks fish proteins into smaller peptides, oligopeptides and free amino acids that can be incorporated into plant nutrition and soil biological programs.
Ocean Feast contains 50% enzymatically hydrolyzed fermented fish protein, 12% free amino acids and 3% fulvic acid, along with supplemental boron and zinc. This combination provides an unusually rich blend of marine-derived organic compounds for growers who want more than a conventional NPK fertilizer.
Designed for both home gardeners and professional growers, Ocean Feast can be used with vegetables, fruit trees, tropical plants, berries, herbs, flowers, ornamentals, containers, soil, coco coir and fertigation systems.
Powered by Marine Fish Protein
Fish has been used to nourish crops and agricultural soils for generations, but modern hydrolysis technology allows growers to take advantage of marine proteins in a far more refined and concentrated form.
Ocean Feast begins with sustainably sourced marine baitfish including sardines, menhaden and herring. These nutrient-rich fish naturally contain proteins, amino acids, peptides, marine lipids and a wide variety of organic compounds.
Rather than simply grinding the raw material into a basic fish emulsion, Ocean Feast uses controlled processing designed to break large proteins into smaller components that can be incorporated more efficiently into plant and soil biological processes.
The result is a concentrated marine-based supplement designed for growers seeking to support both plant performance and the biological activity of the root zone.
Enzymatic Hydrolysis — Breaking Protein Into Usable Building Blocks
The major difference between Ocean Feast and a conventional fish fertilizer is the way the fish protein is processed.
Enzymatic hydrolysis uses enzymes to break large protein molecules into smaller peptides, oligopeptides and free amino acids.
This controlled process is designed to retain valuable components of the original marine material while creating a liquid concentrate containing a broad range of smaller organic compounds.
Ocean Feast therefore supplies plants and the root-zone environment with:
- Hydrolyzed marine fish protein
- Free amino acids
- Short-chain peptides and oligopeptides
- Marine-derived organic compounds
- Naturally occurring fish lipids
- Fulvic acid
- Boron
- Zinc
12% Free Amino Acids
One of Ocean Feast's most important features is its exceptionally high concentration of 12% free amino acids.
Amino acids are fundamental building blocks of plant metabolism. Plants combine amino acids to produce proteins that are used throughout cells, enzymes, structural tissues and numerous biochemical pathways.
Plants normally synthesize their own amino acids using energy and nutrients absorbed through the roots. Supplying amino-acid-rich plant supplements can complement normal plant metabolism, particularly during periods of rapid development and environmental stress.
Ocean Feast is therefore especially useful during:
- Seedling and transplant establishment
- Rapid vegetative growth
- Root development
- Pre-flowering growth
- Flowering and fruit set
- Fruit development and filling
- Periods of heavy crop load
- Recovery following heat, drought or transplant stress
Peptides & Oligopeptides
Not all proteins in Ocean Feast are reduced completely to individual amino acids. The enzymatic process also creates peptides and oligopeptides — short chains of amino acids that form an important part of the hydrolyzed fish protein fraction.
These smaller protein fragments contribute to the rich organic composition of Ocean Feast and provide carbon- and nitrogen-containing compounds that can interact with both plants and soil microorganisms.
This makes Ocean Feast particularly well suited to biologically active soil programs where growers want to feed the crop while also supplying organic compounds to the rhizosphere.
3% Fulvic Acid for Nutrient Efficiency
Ocean Feast contains 3% fulvic acid, adding an important nutrient-efficiency component to the marine protein formula.
Fulvic substances contain numerous reactive sites capable of interacting with minerals and other compounds in irrigation water and growing media. For this reason, fulvic acid is commonly incorporated into fertility programs designed to support nutrient availability and movement.
When combined with fish-derived amino acids and peptides, fulvic acid gives Ocean Feast a broader role than a basic organic nitrogen source.
Feed the Plant & the Soil
Ocean Feast is designed to do more than provide nutrients directly to the crop. The hydrolyzed fish proteins, peptides and other organic compounds also provide material that can be utilized within biologically active soils.
Healthy soil contains a diverse community of microorganisms involved in organic matter decomposition, nutrient cycling and the overall functioning of the rhizosphere.
By adding fish-derived organic compounds to the root zone, Ocean Feast can complement programs focused on building biologically active soils and growing media.
This makes it particularly useful in:
- Garden soil
- Raised beds
- Fruit tree root zones
- Container gardens
- Potting mixes
- Coco coir
- Biologically managed production systems
Strong Roots Build Strong Plants
A vigorous root system allows plants to explore a larger volume of growing media for water and mineral nutrients.
Ocean Feast supplies amino acids, peptides, fulvic acid and marine organic compounds that make it an excellent addition to feeding programs during root establishment and periods of rapid vegetative growth.
Consistent use can help support:
- Root establishment after transplanting
- Active root-zone biology
- Vigorous vegetative growth
- Healthy leaf and stem development
- Efficient utilization of a complete fertility program
Supports Productive Flowering & Fruiting Crops
Plants require enormous amounts of energy and nutrition when transitioning from vegetative growth into flowering and fruit development.
Ocean Feast supplies amino acids, peptides and fulvic acid without replacing the phosphorus, potassium, calcium and other minerals required from a complete fertility program.
This makes it an excellent supplemental product throughout reproductive growth.
Support During Environmental Stress
Heat, drought, excessive sunlight, transplanting and sudden weather changes can increase metabolic demand while simultaneously reducing normal plant growth.
Because amino acids and peptides are directly involved in plant metabolism, Ocean Feast is particularly useful as part of a nutritional program before and after stressful growing conditions.
Boron & Zinc Included
Ocean Feast also provides supplemental boron and zinc, two essential micronutrients with important roles in plant development.
For Nearly Every Plant You Grow
Multiple Application Methods
Soil Drench
Apply with irrigation water directly around the active root zone to deliver fish proteins, amino acids and fulvic acid into the growing media.
Foliar Application
Ocean Feast may be diluted and applied as a fine foliar mist during appropriate environmental conditions.
Drip Irrigation & Fertigation
The liquid formulation is suitable for incorporation into compatible fertigation and drip irrigation programs.
Watering Can
Ideal for home gardens, raised beds and container plants where a measured amount can be added directly to irrigation water.
Hose-End Sprayer
Can be diluted through compatible hose-end equipment for larger garden areas, trees and landscape applications.
Coco & Soilless Media
May be used as a supplemental biological input alongside a complete fertility program in coco coir and other soilless substrates.
Ocean Feast + Low Tide
Ocean Feast and Boca Hydro Low Tide are designed to complement one another while supplying different types of biologically active plant inputs.
Use them alongside Boca Hydro Grow Soil during vegetative growth or Boca Hydro Bloom Soil during flowering and fruiting to build a broader soil-based nutrition program.
General Application Guidelines
Young Plants & Seedlings
1 teaspoon per gallon of water
