Boca Hydro Calcium Nitrate
Application & Dosing Guide
15.5-0-0  |  15.5% Nitrogen  |  26.5% CaO

Boca Hydro Calcium Nitrate provides fast-acting nitrate nitrogen and highly available calcium for hydroponics, fertigation, foliar feeding, containers, and soil-grown plants.

Always dissolve in water before use. A digital scale is recommended for accurate measurement.

Stock Solution Concentrate

Dissolve 500 grams (1.1 lb) of Boca Hydro Calcium Nitrate in water, then add enough water to make exactly 1 gallon of finished concentrate.

1 mL concentrate
≈ 0.132 g dry product
1 tsp concentrate
≈ 0.65 g dry product
1 tbsp concentrate
≈ 1.95 g dry product
1 fl oz concentrate
≈ 3.9 g dry product

Approximate dry reference: 1 level teaspoon ≈ 5 g and 1 level tablespoon ≈ 15 g. Product density may vary.

Foliar Application
Application Dry Product Concentrate
Maintenance 2–5 g per gallon 1–2½ tbsp
Deficiency Correction 6–10 g per gallon 3–5 tbsp

Apply during the cooler part of the day. Test sensitive plants before treating the entire crop.

Pots & Containers
Plant Size Dry Product Concentrate
Small 1–2 g per gallon 1½–3 tsp
Medium 3–5 g per gallon 1½–2½ tbsp
Large 6–8 g per gallon 3–4 tbsp
Hydroponics
Recommended target range: 80–150 ppm elemental calcium
Target Ca Dry Product Concentrate
80 ppm 1.6 g per gallon 12 mL or 2½ tsp
100 ppm 2.0 g per gallon 15 mL or 1 tbsp
150 ppm 3.0 g per gallon 23 mL or 1½ tbsp

Account for the nitrate nitrogen supplied when formulating a complete nutrient program.

Soil & Root Drench
Application Dry Product Concentrate
Light Feeding 10–15 g per 5 gallons ⅓–½ cup
Heavy Feeding 20–30 g per 5 gallons ⅔–1 cup
Fertigation — 1:100 Injector
Dissolve the listed dry amount in water and add enough water to make 1 gallon of finished injector stock solution.
Target Calcium Dry Product per Gallon of Injector Stock Injection Ratio
80 ppm Ca 160 grams 1:100
100 ppm Ca 200 grams 1:100
150 ppm Ca 300 grams 1:100
Important: These fertigation stock strengths are prepared directly for a 1:100 injector. They are separate from the 500 g-per-gallon concentrate used for hand-mixed applications.
Compatibility Notice
Keep concentrated calcium nitrate separate from fertilizers containing phosphates, sulfates, or carbonates. Combine only after each product has been sufficiently diluted in the final irrigation water.
Application rates may be adjusted according to crop requirements, water quality, environmental conditions, and plant tolerance.
