Boca Hydro Low Tide
Premium Enzymatically Hydrolyzed Seaweed Extract with Amino Acids & Humic Acid
Boca Hydro Low Tide is a premium liquid seaweed and plant biostimulant formulated from Ascophyllum nodosum brown kelp and a diverse blend of seven species of deep marine seaweed. Rather than relying on a simple seaweed concentrate, Low Tide is produced using enzymatic hydrolysis, a carefully controlled extraction process designed to release and preserve valuable naturally occurring compounds found inside marine plant material.
The result is a highly concentrated liquid containing naturally occurring amino acids, peptides, seaweed-derived organic compounds, trace minerals and plant-supporting compounds together with 2% humic acid.
Low Tide is designed to support the entire plant — from root development and vegetative growth to flowering, fruit development and recovery from environmental stress. It can be used throughout the growing season on vegetable gardens, fruit trees, tropical plants, berries, flowers, ornamentals, lawns, container plants and professional crops.
Its highly versatile liquid formulation makes Low Tide suitable for soil applications, root drenches, foliar feeding, fertigation, hydroponic systems, coco coir and soilless growing media.
Powered by Ascophyllum nodosum
Ascophyllum nodosum is a cold-water brown seaweed naturally found along North Atlantic coastlines. It survives in an unusually demanding environment where it is repeatedly exposed to changing tides, temperature fluctuations, intense sunlight, salt and periods of partial dehydration.
Because of these environmental pressures, the seaweed naturally contains a diverse range of organic compounds that have made Ascophyllum nodosum one of the most widely used seaweed species in modern plant nutrition and biostimulant programs.
Low Tide combines Ascophyllum nodosum with seven additional marine seaweed species, creating a broader spectrum of naturally occurring compounds than a conventional single-source kelp extract.
This diverse marine blend provides plant-supporting compounds that complement a normal fertility program rather than simply supplying another dose of conventional NPK fertilizer.
Enzymatic Hydrolysis — A Better Extraction Method
The quality of a seaweed product depends not only on the species used, but also on how the seaweed is processed.
Low Tide uses enzymatic hydrolysis to break down marine plant material and release beneficial components from the seaweed matrix. This process is designed to preserve a broad range of naturally occurring compounds while producing a concentrated, water-dispersible liquid suitable for root and foliar applications.
Enzymatic processing helps make available naturally occurring:
- Amino acids
- Small peptides and oligopeptides
- Seaweed polysaccharides
- Organic acids
- Vitamins and marine-derived compounds
- Trace minerals
- Natural plant signaling compounds
This makes Low Tide an excellent addition to nutrient programs where growers want more than basic mineral nutrition.
18 Free Amino Acids
Low Tide contains a broad spectrum of 18 free amino acids derived from its hydrolyzed plant and marine ingredients.
Amino acids are the building blocks plants use to construct proteins, enzymes and numerous compounds required throughout growth. Plants normally manufacture amino acids through their own metabolism, a process that requires both nutrients and energy.
Supplying amino-acid-containing plant extracts can complement normal plant metabolism, particularly during periods of rapid growth or environmental stress.
The amino acid component of Low Tide makes it especially useful during:
- Transplant establishment
- Rapid vegetative growth
- Flowering and early fruit development
- Periods of high heat
- Cool or fluctuating weather
- Drought or irrigation stress
- Recovery following pruning or transplanting
- Periods of heavy crop load
Naturally Occurring Seaweed Compounds
Marine seaweed naturally contains numerous biologically active compounds associated with plant growth and development.
Ascophyllum nodosum extracts are valued in agriculture for naturally occurring compounds associated with cytokinin-, auxin- and gibberellin-like activity as well as polysaccharides, betaines and other organic components.
These compounds help explain why high-quality seaweed extracts are commonly incorporated into plant nutrition programs for roots, vegetative growth, flowering and crop development.
Supports Strong Roots & Nutrient Efficiency
A productive plant begins below the soil surface. Low Tide is formulated to support an active root zone and can be used throughout the growing season to encourage strong root development.
A larger, healthier root system gives plants greater access to water and mineral nutrients already present in the growing medium.
The combination of seaweed extract, plant-derived peptides and humic acid makes Low Tide particularly useful alongside a complete fertilizer program.
- Supports root branching and development
- Complements nutrient uptake
- Supports transplant establishment
- Encourages an active rhizosphere
- Works in soil, coco and soilless media
- Can be incorporated into regular fertigation programs
2% Humic Acid for the Root Zone
Low Tide also contains 2% humic acid, adding an important soil and root-zone component to the formula.
Humic substances interact with the growing environment and are commonly used to complement plant nutrition programs. They are particularly valuable in soils, raised beds, containers and soilless media where growers want to support both the plant and the root-zone environment.
Combined with marine seaweed and plant-derived peptides, humic acid gives Low Tide a broader role than a basic kelp supplement.
Darker, Healthier Foliage
Low Tide is an excellent companion product during vegetative growth because healthy root function and balanced nutrition are directly connected to productive foliage.
The naturally occurring compounds, amino acids and trace components found in seaweed extracts can complement the mineral nutrients responsible for chlorophyll formation and photosynthesis.
When used as part of a complete fertility program, Low Tide helps support vigorous green foliage, strong stems and continued photosynthetic activity needed to power later flowering and fruit production.
Flowering, Fruit Development & Crop Quality
Low Tide is not limited to vegetative growth. It can continue to be used throughout flowering and fruit development.
Fruit production requires large amounts of energy. Plants must maintain healthy foliage, roots and nutrient transport while simultaneously supporting flowers and developing fruit.
Seaweed extracts are commonly included in reproductive-stage programs because they complement conventional fertility without dramatically increasing fertilizer concentration.
Low Tide can be incorporated into programs designed to support:
- Flower development
- Fruit set and early fruit development
- Healthy crop load
- Carbohydrate production and movement
- Fruit filling
- Overall plant vigor through harvest
Plant Support During Environmental Stress
One of the most valuable uses for seaweed-based biostimulants is supporting plants during periods when growing conditions are less than ideal.
Low Tide can be incorporated into a regular plant nutrition program before, during or after environmental stress to help maintain vigorous growth and support recovery.
