Boca Hydro Chelated Copper EDTA 14%

Premium Water-Soluble Chelated Copper Micronutrient for Hydroponics, Foliar Feeding, Fertigation and Soil Applications

Boca Hydro Chelated Copper EDTA 14% is a high-efficiency, fully water-soluble copper micronutrient fertilizer formulated to correct and prevent copper deficiencies in plants.

Copper is required in very small amounts, but it plays an important role in enzyme activity, chlorophyll production, photosynthesis, lignin formation, flowering, fruiting and overall plant vigor.

EDTA chelation helps improve copper solubility, stability and plant availability compared with non-chelated copper sources. This product is ideal for use in hydroponics, fertigation, foliar sprays, soil drenches, coco coir, pots, containers, fruit trees, vegetables, ornamentals, turfgrass and custom nutrient programs.

Chelated Copper 14% EDTA Chelated Fully Water Soluble Micronutrient Formula Hydroponic Compatible
Product Benefits
Corrects Copper Deficiency Helps address copper deficiencies that may contribute to weak growth, pale foliage, poor flowering, reduced fruiting and poor crop vigor.
EDTA Chelated EDTA chelation helps maintain copper in a soluble, plant-available form for foliar, soil, hydroponic and fertigation applications.
Supports Enzyme Activity Copper is involved in important plant enzyme systems that support normal growth, metabolism and plant development.
Chlorophyll & Photosynthesis Support Supports normal chlorophyll formation and photosynthetic function as part of a balanced micronutrient program.
Strong Growth & Crop Quality Helps support healthy roots, shoots, flowering, fruiting and overall crop performance when copper is deficient.
Clean Water Solubility Dissolves readily for use in foliar sprays, hydroponic systems, irrigation injectors, soil drenches and concentrated stock solutions.
Stock Solution & Measuring Reference
50 ppm Copper Concentrate Dissolve 1.35 g of Boca Hydro Chelated Copper EDTA 14% in water and fill to a final volume of 1 gallon.
100 ppm Copper Concentrate Dissolve 2.70 g of Boca Hydro Chelated Copper EDTA 14% in water and fill to a final volume of 1 gallon.
Why Use a Concentrate? Copper is required by plants in very small amounts. Preparing a dilute concentrate makes it much easier to measure accurately and avoid over-application.
Liquid Measuring Reference 1 tsp = approx. 5 mL | 1 tbsp = approx. 15 mL | 1 fl oz = approx. 29.6 mL
Best Accuracy Use a digital gram scale when preparing stock solutions. For hydroponics and fertigation, use the concentrate method whenever possible.
Application & Dosing Guide
Foliar Spray 50 ppm Cu Concentrate: Add 1-2 fl oz per gallon of spray water
100 ppm Cu Concentrate: Add 0.5-1 fl oz per gallon of spray water
Final Spray Strength: Approx. 0.4-0.8 ppm Cu
Apply in early morning or evening. Avoid spraying in extreme heat, intense sunlight or on drought-stressed plants. Test on a small area first, especially on sensitive crops.
Pots & Containers 50 ppm Cu Concentrate: Add 0.2-0.5 fl oz per gallon of water, approx. 1-3 tsp
100 ppm Cu Concentrate: Add 0.1-0.25 fl oz per gallon of water, approx. 1/2-1.5 tsp
Final Strength: Approx. 0.08-0.20 ppm Cu
Use as a light copper supplement for container plants when copper deficiency is suspected or confirmed.
Soil Drench - Light Maintenance 50 ppm Cu Concentrate: Add 3-5 fl oz per 10 gallons of water
100 ppm Cu Concentrate: Add 2-4 fl oz per 10 gallons of water
Final Strength: Approx. 0.12-0.31 ppm Cu
Use for light maintenance or mild deficiency support. Apply evenly to the root zone.
Soil Drench - Deficiency Correction Target: Approx. 0.3-0.5 ppm Cu
50 ppm Cu Concentrate: Add 7.7-12.8 fl oz per 10 gallons of water
100 ppm Cu Concentrate: Add 3.8-6.4 fl oz per 10 gallons of water
Copper can be phytotoxic if over-applied. Do not exceed crop-specific copper recommendations.
Hydroponics Normal Hydroponic Range: 0.05-0.10 ppm Cu
50 ppm Cu Concentrate: Add 0.1-0.2 fl oz per gallon, approx. 3-6 mL
100 ppm Cu Concentrate: Add 0.05-0.1 fl oz per gallon, approx. 1.5-3 mL
Final Strength: Approx. 0.04-0.08 ppm Cu
Use as part of a complete nutrient program. Account for copper already supplied by base nutrients, micronutrient blends and source water.
Dry Hydroponic Reference 0.05 ppm Cu: Approx. 0.00135 g per gallon
0.10 ppm Cu: Approx. 0.00270 g per gallon
These amounts are extremely small and difficult to measure accurately. For hydroponics, prepare a dilute concentrate first.
Fertigation / 1:100 Injector Target 0.05 ppm Cu: Dissolve 0.135 g per gallon of finished stock solution
Target 0.10 ppm Cu: Dissolve 0.27 g per gallon of finished stock solution
Target 0.25 ppm Cu: Dissolve 0.675 g per gallon of finished stock solution
Target 0.50 ppm Cu: Dissolve 1.35 g per gallon of finished stock solution
Target 1.00 ppm Cu: Dissolve 2.70 g per gallon of finished stock solution
Inject at 1:100.
For routine fertigation, 0.05-0.10 ppm Cu is usually sufficient. Higher rates should be reserved for confirmed deficiencies or crop-specific programs.
Application Frequency Apply every 14-21 days during active growth, or as copper deficiencies are identified. Avoid repeated high-rate applications unless supported by tissue testing, soil testing or crop-specific recommendations.

Copper (Cu), Chelated 14.00%
Derived From Copper EDTA
CAS Number 14025-15-1
Copper Safety: Copper is an essential micronutrient, but plants require only very small amounts. Over-application can be phytotoxic. Do not exceed label or crop-specific copper recommendations.
Compatibility: Conduct a jar test before preparing a large or unfamiliar mixture. Avoid very high-pH tank mixes and check compatibility before mixing with pesticides or other fertilizers.
Best Uptake: For foliar sprays and nutrient solutions, maintain a mildly acidic to neutral pH when possible. A general target range of pH 5.5-6.5 is recommended for best performance.
Storage: Store tightly sealed in a cool, dry location. Protect from moisture and humidity. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
